Not a lot of people know, but Bower Ashton campus of UWE has a fair old history in the world of Bristol graffiti. Lots of well known writers have passed through its doors over the last few years, in fact for some it’s the reason they came to Bristol in the first place. Well, if not the reason, then perhaps the justification…
Just one example of it, courtesy of Neil, the back wall of the bar there painted by Sickboy back in 2000 or so. Early as you like.
So, from the good people that brought you the ‘Not Just Banksy’ event a while back, and co-inciding with Fresher’s Week, a large paint jam’s been organised down there for next Tuesday (22nd September). Here’s the chat;
