If you’re not up to owt this Thursday, you could do far worse than wander along and check out this latest goodness from the lovely people at Steal From Work and others.
C6 and Steal From Work would like to invite you to the Bristol launch of Street Art Dealer, an explorative multi-faceted exhibition showcasing exciting new uses of QR Code technology in the context of Art.
Opening Night: Thursday 9th July
74-76 Horsefair, Broadmead, Bristol
We invite you to join us at the project headquarters where we will be unveiling BEAM the collaborative installation by Joseph Watts & Haywood Slucutt, as well as access to all the information concerning how to interact using the QR Code technology the other 4 artists work which will be installed around Bristol for you to ‘find’.
The exhibition will include Turner Prize nominee Tomoko Takahashi, James Powderly (Graffiti Research Lab), Zeus, Sebastian Lowsley-Williams and Joseph Watts & Haywood Slucutt.
There will also be a free limited edition print taken from the BEAM installation for those of you who scan and read
a QR Code on the night (see below for info on QR Code Readers).
Anyone equipped with a camera phone and QR Code Reader software can scan a QR image and access the information it contains. Many new mobile phones come with this software already installed but nearly all camera phones have software available that’s easily downloaded and installed.
To fully take part in the Street Art Dealer events please download & install a QR Code Reader on your camera phone.
