Crimes Of Passion Antics Tomorrow

A four day bank holiday weekend then. Quite a time to fill, but tomorrow’s got some goodness in it, whatever the weather does.

First up, it’s the first of the free admission days for the Crimes of Passion RWA show. Apparently it’s already broken all sorts of attendance records for a show at the RWA, and is still really busy. So if you fancy a carefree wander round it tomorrow, get there early, cos it could be packed again. It’s open from 10am to 5:30pm.

Also, tomorrow evening down at the Cube (who definitely weren’t anything to do with the recent Banksy red paint affair, so be nice to them) there’s a night on tying in with the RWA show.In fact, there are a few Crimes of Passion night on at the Cube over the next few days, but tomorrow night’s the biggy. Here’s the chat from the Crimes of Passion site;

The creative chaos that is the Crimes of Passion exhibition hits The Cube tonight in full on party mode. Featuring the Bristol premier of highly acclaimed graffiti & street art documentary Bomb It.
Plus an edit & live re-score of 1979 documentary Stations of the Elevated (featuring footage from various New York subways) by Awkward, Ben One & Type (vertebrae).
Plus several shorts on the worldwide scene.
Plus live painting by some of the Crimes of Passion artists
Plus new interactive installation Vertual Stoke Croft by Midas
And Awkward, Ben One will be DJing the party tunes in the bar till late…

Whilst the Cube listing says;

tagging and everything in between. In addition to the celluloid delights
several of Bristol’s graffiti artists from the exhibition will be jamming
together and creating a live piece of on the night. DJs will be spinning the
freshest hip hop & electro to keep the party swinging.

So, should be a top night then, and onwards from there there’s more showings, the Cube website and the Crimes of Passion site don’t seem to match up precisely, but the Cube website says;
