Couple more events for you in the coming days.
First up, there’s going to be ‘live graffiti’ at Start The Bus this Sunday (24th August) during the day as part of the ‘Not So Supermarket‘ from 1pm til 6pm. No-one there knows who’s painting, and the promoter’s not around that often apparently, but if anyone reading knows who’s going to be there then do leave a comment.
Second, the Council’s putting on an event on the 30th and 31st of August down at the Lloyds Amphitheatre called ‘Project 360’, an ‘Urban Arts and Sport Event’. It all looks terribly fashionable, with ‘live graffiti, b-boys, turntabalism, parkour, skating, beatboxing’ etc, but so far the website is a little thin on details on who’s actually going to be doing these things. The page about the graffiti currently suggests that Bristol’s own Magic will be painting alongside New York’s Jean-Michel Basquiat, but that seems an unlikely pairing, especially since Basquiat died in 1988.
It does say though that
At Project 360 leading Bristol graffiti artists will be painting throughout the site and will be on hand to give some tips during scheduled workshops. More than 50 metres of hoardings will be open for anyone to come along and paint.
So, if you fancy a paint then get yourself down there.
Otherwise, not a clue sadly, chasing both for details of what exactly’s going to be going on, but if anyone out there knows then do share!
