Workshop Closed

Wandered past Workshop today, only to see the last things being taken out and the shutters firmly applied. Workshop on Perry Road is no more.

The new shop should be open in a month or so though, down where the comic shop used to be on the corner  by the Banksy at the bottom of Park Street. It’s going to be a new venue for Fifty Fifty, so no more Workshop anymore, although a lot of the same stuff will be carried on in the new location.

No major plans for art exhibitions in the new place either sadly, although you never know…

  1. Personally it’s the exhibitions that I shall miss.

Where else outside London could you find monthly shows from some of the most established artists on the scene?

    Shame!

Here’s hoping then that the new place will grab the opportunity…..

Yeah, when you look back at who they had there it’s rather impressive – http://www.wonderfulworkshop.com/?page_id=71

Hopefully Guerrilla Galleries will be able to pick up the baton though, hearing rumours of some pretty exciting shows coming up there in the autumn…
