Dan In The Bearpit

Or, rather, Dan in the St James Barton Roundabout…

Came across this yesterday on the left hand pedestrian tunnel as you approach the bearpit from Stokes Croft. Really lovely piece, this guy’s got skills…

  1. the wings don’t look like they’re attached to her back. the left wing appears to be bigger than the other and they are both ‘head on’ whilst her shoulders are at a slight angle, facing to the left of the viewer. this is the kind of thing we’ve come to expect from late lucian freud, but not infallible street artists who’re all above conventional art criticism because they don’t do tags, and are like, bare cool yeah?

  2. it’s gone now – why would they bother cleaning that off when the rest of the place is such a state???
