Commentary on the new Bath Buildings development

Said on Monday that there was something else to share with you all about the redevelopment of the Stokes Croft/Cheltenham Road area.
As people round there will know, and as covered here before, there’s a large new development going on by Bath Buildings, featuring eco homes, etc. Ghostboy’s already had his say on what he thinks [...]

New Paris and Milk piece

Got a tip off at the end of last week that a new legal piece was going to be painted on Monday and Tuesday by a whole load of Bristol artists, as part of a TV program on Bristol (and beyond) graf that’s being filmed at the moment.
So, on Tuesday evening headed down to [...]

Two new Sickboys

Still out of play til tomorrow really, but just got an email to say that there are two new Sickboy prints out now which i thought i’d pass on. It’s a familiar image and i really like them, hope you do too.
There’s a red one in an edition of 100…

Interesting article

Some of you may have read this already, but, despite knowing it was going to happen, I only just found out it had happened. It’s an interesting article in the Independent on ‘Urban art’ with short interviews with people, from a Bristol perspective, like Sickboy, Sweet Toof, Cyclops and Nick Walker.
Have a read of the [...]

Broad Quay and Farrs Lane

Couple of odd bits down the centre of town here. There’s not much round these parts, never was much anyway, so thought would throw them in together.
First one is what looks like a Sickboy temple on the hoardings for the new glass building going up on Broad Quay/St Augustine’s Parade. Not sure it is, but [...]

Blink and you’ll miss it…

New Sickboy print came out today from Bristol’s top print house, Let Them Hang. Only 8 of them made, and only 5 for sale today, sold out within minutes by all accounts. Crazyness!

Woodmancote Road, Bristol

Another road you wouldn’t really spot this, running between Ashley Road and Shaftesbury Avenue, but one totally worth checking out for lots of varied work, some awesome. A large post this, but really do read to the end, it gets better!
Starting up at the Ashley Road end, there’s this odd but good piece by, i [...]

12 days of xmas show!

So, yesterday was the opening night of the 12 days show. Well, for me it was a full and crazy day of graf related activity, including meeting a guy who used to hang out with the Wild Bunch and various New York artists in the 80’s and 90’s, hopefully going to see his collection soon. [...]

So…

The Sickboy temple models have gone on sale. Funny, one thing I’ve really noticed, coming from a more laid back Bristol background, is the real urgency other people have about buying things, in case they sell out. I guess this is a reflection of the fact that a lot of the most desirable art of [...]

Sickboy Temple IRL

Had seen Sickboy temple’s around for years in Bristol, and always liked them. Finally got to meet the man himself a few months back, and he said he was working on doing a real life 3D model of a temple for a release towards Xmas. Put my name on one straight away, and was pretty [...]
