Not A Penny Off The Pay… Opening Night Review

So, am back from the opening night of the ‘Not A Penny’ show, and damn was it good. Many people met, many discussions had, and some art viewed too. It was a crazy night, let me tell you about what i can…
Got there later than intended, and saw the first of the shutter pieces i’d [...]

Sweet Toof, Rowdy, Cyclops and Pure Evil, The Flyer, Gloucester Road

Mentioned yesterday that the ‘Not A Penny’ show was going to leave some loveliness behind it in the area, and here’s the first part of it. A massive piece done a couple of days ago on the side of ‘The Flyer’ on Gloucester Road.
Here’s a long shot from across the road

Looks even better closer up…

Sweet Toof, Cyclops, Rowdy, Brick Lane, London

Came across these bits when in London a couple of week back, lovely big Sweet Toof, Cyclops and Rowdy piece, wasn’t there last time i wandered past i’m sure.

These were even cooler, couldn’t make out if they were cut specially for this, or just an opportune bit of spikage that painted up well, suspect the [...]

New show - Not a penny off the pay, not a second on the day

Told you there were lots of shows coming up this summer, and here’s the first one to be formally announced.
From the good people that brought you the 12 Days of Xmas show, it’s going to be down at the bottom of Stokes Croft, and, well, i’ll let the press release tell you the rest…

Moon Street freshness from Rowdy, Sweet Toof, Cyclops and Tek33

A reader emailed me about this one last night, so just went and got photos this morning. It’s so fresh, you can still smell the paint when just standing next to it, a large new piece by Rowdy, Sweet Toof, Cyclops and Tek33, in the smokers cage for the Blue Mountain on Moon Street.

A closer [...]

Sneak preview - Guerilla Galleries new show!

The new show at Guerilla Galleries opens tomorrow night (28th), but this blog, somewhat pleasingly, has been given a sneak preview of what’s going to be there on the opening to share with you all.
It’s all being put up at the moment, and the place is closed until the show opening, so excuse the way [...]

New bits on Stokes Croft

Remember a week or two ago, some of the work down on Stokes Croft was ineptly painted over, possibly by the council, possibly not. Well, in double quick time, some new work has gone up to replace it, and it’s not bad at all.
A nice big Rowdy crocodile threatens to eat the, erm, ’sauna’.

Whilst on [...]

A new show

Just had word there’s another show coming up at Guerilla Galleries on the Gloucester Road later this month, imaginatively titled ‘The New Show’. In the spirit of traditional lazy journalism, mixed with honesty, i’ll just leave it to their media release to tell you about it.
Guerrilla Galleries’ latest show opens its doors on Thursday 28th [...]

Hepburn Road, Bristol

I’ve always been intrigued by Hepburn Road, oddly narrow and tucked away. Used to have a club named Loco and then Maze on it, which held some wicked nights back in the day, sadly all gone now, along with the pill dealers who used to loiter at the end of Hepburn Road. Always amazed me, [...]

Picton Street and Picton Mews

Covered the end of Picton Street here before, but recently had an expore of the whole street. Odd really, it seems like a great street for graf, just ‘feels right’ in a way, but there’s very little on it now, and i have few memories of there being much on it before either.
Starting from the [...]
