having struggled and failed in every previous attempt to paint a convincing nose, a greater artist would’ve gone to the library, found a good book on anatomy and put in the necessary hours of practice. Voyder on the other hand took the easy route and decided to simply give up paint noses altogether.
I believe it was Ingres who said it takes 3 years to learn how to paint, and 30 years to learn how to draw.
