This story’s been around a few days now, but still amusing. As part of the Santa’s Ghetto thing in Bethlehem at the moment, Banksy put up some stencils around the streets, making, many thought, some amusing yet poignant statements about the situation in the West Bank at the moment, a donkey having its ID checked by security, a Noah’s dove in a flak jacket.

But seems, despite offers of cash from abroad for their walls, the local residents have felt insulted by some of the works, and have painted over them already.
